Some of my basic wants are what everyone wants. Love, Family, God in my life.
I want my Children and their spouses to be happy, healthy, safe, financially secure, have faith, etc..
I want my Spouse to know he is wanted, needed, desired and loved beyond measure. He just makes me feel all those things, so I want him to know he is my everything.
I am already looking forward to meeting my first grandchild and all to follow. I can't wait to count those fingers and toes, and just kiss and hug this little bundle of joy. I am already totally head over heals in love. Its a good feeling.
Then of course I have all my hopes and dreams and wants and desires for 2014.
A new movable Chicken coop, more electric Fencing.
A beautiful Garden. To see our first apple on our Apple trees. That the Bee's make enough Honey to share. That we can grow our bounty organically and keep the bugs at bay.
That we add one more thing to the farm, may it be a baby cow or goat, a little bit more land or maybe even a new swing set. I would like that.. And to have a little more success at keeping up with the weeds.
There is always something to wish for, to hope for, but mostly for me it is to see all of 2014 and to spend as much time as allowed with my family and friends. Happy New Years.
I am a very proud Mama. I love that my kids have grown into thriving happy Adults. Christmas time is always a good time to take a look at what you have NOT what you don't have.
I am a happy contented blogger. I read Pioneer Woman. She is going through that state all MaMa's do and their children pass from Child to teen and you see a glimpse of what type of adults they will be. You see your kids transfer through one state after another and this can bring tears of joy and make your heart thump a little harder.
So while her kids are becoming your adults, mine are adults. In the last two years they have Married (to great spouses I might add with great families of their own) and now my oldest "28" is expecting and we should be Grandparents in less than a month. Where oh Where does the time fly.
I am in Awe of my kids.. Remember when they were babies? I do
I still see Jessica in her pig tails and squeaky voice and Eric in his batman sweatshirt. They just loved me and I loved them. Simple and you know what life does get more complicated as they get older but They love me and I love them. Simply the best.
Today is December 11, 2013. And today there is a Book Signing at the Books a Million in Charlotte NC.. And who should be signing her little Red Head fingers to the Bone but one of my favorite Bloggers and Foodies. The Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond.
About the time The Pioneer Woman really Exploded on the scene is about the same time I began contemplating having my own web site. Here on the farm we just had so much going on I wanted a place to share it all with my friends, family, and now all of you.
She inspired my and gave me the confidence to try my own hand at blogging. I have now been posting for over a year and have seen myself evolve into a better communicator.
I hope with all the inspirational bloggers out there, like, 1840sfarm, and the fresh egg I will become a better blogger, photographer, and foodie and all over creative person.
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Sugar Cookie Dough and Snickerdoodles are in the works. Finished Christmas Cards (Ill post it here after they have all been sent) I've been working hard on my homemade projects. It brings me a feeling of accomplishment when I can say I made my gifts whether they be cookies, breads, honey, soap, or handmade goods. I just hope everyone else likes to receive them as much as I like to make them.
